York High school
The YHS Alumni Association, Inc.
Greetings to all of our York High Falcons and friends!
Once again we look forward to seeing you again and
are pleased to announce that our favorite band “7th Street” will be entertaining us. Band members include YHS alumni Richard Eanes '73, Frankie Pitchford '73 and others that may occasionally join them as well as the locally famous Linda Smith of Mathews Co. It's always a pleasure to see and hear them.
There is a $10 donation at the door; beer/wine will be available for $5 and water/sodas are $1. BBQ with coleslaw and chips are also available. As in the past, there is a 50/50 Raffle - so purchase your tickets early as the drawing will be at
9 PM and you must be present or make arrangements with someone who will be there with your ticket in order to claim your portion of the money.
IMPORTANT: Alcohol is only allowed inside the Freight Shed and under the tent - NO other places, not even in the restrooms or walkways to or from the beach or restrooms. Sheriff’s deputies patrol the area and will enforce this policy with a fine. Also there is NO SMOKING inside any of the buildings. There will be receptacles for depositing cigarettes outside the building and we ask for you to please use them.
Please remember that this is a FUND RAISING EVENT. In order to continue these mixers, they must generate revenue that will support our scholarship efforts. We are always in need of volunteers to work these mixers! Monetary donations (no amount is too small!) are also welcome and help reduce our “over head” in putting-on these events. If you or your company/organization would like to be a sponsor, please contact any Alumni Board Member for information.
You can also find us on Facebook at “York High School Alumni Association, Inc.”
Did you know our Mixers are fundraisers for our Scholarship Fund? Come join us and raise money for our deserving scholarship winners.
The following scheduled mixers will be held at the Yorktown Freight Shed located at 331 Water Street from 6:30 to 10:30 PM.
