Hi, This is Donna Pugh Penman and I am looking for anyone from the class of 1960.
I have lost total contact with all my friends and would love to know who is where and doing what at this time. Polly Atherton, Lorraine Drew, Patty Connor, Jimmy Paar, so many people. Where are you?

Wilmington, NC, but have since lost contact. Now that I have moved back to VA, I would love to see her again.

Just wondering if anyone knows any contact information on the whereabouts of my old friend, Jimmy Hundley, class of 1971. I kept track of him through college but then lost contact with him. Would love to know how he is doing and what he is up to these days since I didn't see him at our last reunion. carnels7@aol.com

Hello! Thank you for putting together a website for YHS alumni. My 10 year reunion SHOULD be next year - but I have not heard a peep about it from anyone - so I'm not sure if it is going to happen. I am moving to Hawaii this summer -so I'll have to see how much I can help from far away. I just wanted to suggest to the older generations hoping to get the more recent grads involved - that Myspace.com is a great resource. It has a database that can track down alumni of specific schools as long as the members have offered that information. I have found many members of my graduating class on this free blogging site. I would be willing to create a myspace for YHS c/o 1998 as a sample of what can be done - and hopefully that will encourage other classes to do the same!
Good luck with the fundraising - and especially with the question of school spirit. For my part c/o 98 was the class that lost 1/2 it's seniors to Grafton. So York kids and Tabb kids became Grafton kids - who incidentally also got our best teachers and guidance counselors. After that - we weren't sure who to "hate."

Does anyone read you messages? I noticed I'm the last person to post and that was a while ago. I just wanted to let the ladies of York High School, we are NOT getting older, we are getter BETTER. I sent Linda Boyce Banks a newspaper article that was written about me. At age 59, I founded the first all ladies motorcycle group in Great Falls, Montana, and now at age 60 I am the Director of the Treasure State Lady Riders. Riding a motorcycle is something I never would have dreamed of doing. To the ladies of the class of 1965, get out there and fullfill your dreams!

I just read your newsletter. Sounds like all the activities are fun. But, I live 2,000 miles away and must support my local schools where my husband and our children attended. I did make it to my 40th class reunion September, 2005, and really enjoyed it. That was the first time I saw anyone from my class. I highly recommend that no one waits that many years before returning. I made a lot of new friendships that I didn't have in high school.
I am wondering about the lost class rings. I lost my class ring and replaced it, but that ring is gone too. If a 1965 lady's gold, topaz with an English Y inscribed JMW shows up, please let me know. Thanks.

I am a proud alum living in Indiana. I recently read an article in the Talon (online). About spirit or lack thereof at York High. I still remember the York - Tabb rivalry as if it was yesterday. (I recently had an employee reveal he was from Tabb). I wonder if there is something we could do to inspire this new generation to feel the same pride we did? I guess maybe some back ground about who I am and when I went to York would be appropriate.

Does anyone know what ever happened to John Polce, 1965 Valedictorian? He was an Air Force brat, as I was, and I have always been curious.
